Consolidated Schedules of Assessed Taxes, 1798-1799

We are very pleased to announce that 32 newly digitised volumes have been added to the Historical Tax Rolls, viewable online with any of our subscriptions.

From 1787 taxes were payable to a single consolidated fund, known as the Consolidated Schedules of Assessed Taxes. These taxes were entered on a single schedule, which included houses and windows, inhabited houses, male servants, carriages, riding and carriage horses, horses used in husbandry and trade and mules, and dogs.
