018.14 The only remains of this ancient mansion are the "Dove Cot", written in German text, and a ... old yew tree which stands about 250 links from the Dove Cot, on the north side, but on the east side of the occupation road shown as a fir. There is no doubt of the antiquity of the Dove Cot - the under or lower storey has arched roofs. It is about three storie's high. The roof is almost fallen in . it is looked upon in the neighbourhood as being the age of the Raploch Mansion. No date appears upon it.
