The second of these is usually preferred, though the first approaches nearer to that appd. [approved] by the Authorities quted. R.H.
[Feur' Loch] Feur-locha, is the form recommend [recommended] for two nouns compunded
which in this case is recommended. The name would be "Grass-loch", or
Herb-loch, - "Feur' Loch", might also be used if the word "Feur" be consided [considered]
as a contraction for Feurach, Grassy. R.H.
