190 | The remains of the ancient Chapel of "Kilmory", stand in the "burying ground" about a mile and half from the "Point of Knap"; Its walls are alomost Complete, and in a pretty fair state of preservation. No font is known to exist about it, but there is a short slab at the west end of the "ruins' with a bowl cut on near one of its ends; and supposed to have been used for holy water. The Chapel according to tradition, was dedicated to the "Virgin Mary"; hence the name "Kilmory". "The Cahapel of Kilmorie Knap seems to have been the most Considerable in South Knapdale. Its walls are almost entire;" O.S.A.
